The tables were all set with massive plates on their surface. The chairs were set with big name plates that indicated who had to sit there. There was a huge banner that said “The 82nd Annual Pie Eatting Contest!” I found the name plate that had my name on it. I sat down it the wicker chair and waited for the timer to start. I tried to do my stretches so that I would have more time to eat. I had been training for this all year and I expected to do well.

The Timer buzzed and I ate through my first pie. I was trying to pace myself. I then ate through my second pie with no difficulty. There were already so many people who had dropped out. There were about 5 people left. As the amount of pie increased, the less people there were. At about 10 pies, it was just me and this other guy. I was feeling pretty good. I could tell he was near his limit. When we hit the 15th pie he tapped out. I had won!
