WRITING OBSTACLE

Depict a scene set on the beach of a world orbited by two moons.

Rather than directly describing this scene, try to 'show' the world that it is set in by adding unique elements to the story or characters.

Lying on the Shore’s Beach

The title make no sense lmao. Also - no wings this time - sorry, guys!! Also sorry it’s so short - I wasn’t sure how to write this ❤️

I watched Jayden’s face as the two spotlights shone down on him, lighting both sides. He gazed out at the ocean, silent, & let me play w/ his hand. Up & down, my fingers drew random shapes & lines all over his hand & arm. He had a black hoodie on & light gray sweatpants; he was lying on his back on a blanket on the sand, his shoulders in front of me.

I played w/ his hand as I watched him watch the sky & the moons, stars twinkling at us. “They’re gorgeous.”

He shifted his attention to me. “Who’s gorgeous?”

I smiled & nodded up at the millions of tiny specks of light. “The stars. They’re gorgeous.”

“They are.” I could hear the smile in the warmth of his voice, & when I looked back down at him, he was gazing at me. “You know who else is gorgeous?”

I blush, & instead of answering, bury myself in his chest, settling my body down to melt on top of his.

His arms wrap around me, enveloping me in warmth. “You. You’re gorgeous, love.”

I know he can’t see or feel it, but I smile against him. “Thank you. You’re gorgeous yourself.”

He plants a kiss on my head & signs contently as we lie cuddling on his blanket on the beach’s shore. “I love you so much.”

I lift my head & meet him for a kiss. “I love you, too, more then you can imagine.”
