i saw

daffodils today

and little

white flowers

starting to bloom

it is

a time of

warmth and growth

a time

of love

and forgiveness

so how come

i feel

so cold

and how come

i’m still

short

how come

i can’t

love anyone

and how come

i can’t

forgive

maybe

it’s too early

it’s

only march

i suppose

but the start

of the

raining season

is only

bring

rain from

my own eyes

flowers bloom

within

my lungs

choking me

roots become

my nerves

numbing me

spring

is no time

of celebration

spring

is no

new start

spring is

vulnerable

so vulnerable

one icy

wind

kills all

so i

don’t believe

spring is good

spring is cold

hollow

within me
