WRITING OBSTACLE
Write a story with a non-chronological narrative that takes place at a wedding.
It can be in any genre, as long as the storyline is told out of chronological order. What can this add to the narrative?
The Clock Struck 12:00AM
Just the thought of marriage has me giddy.
I danced and pranced around the city,
Telling everyone my exiting news.
Oh, how happy I was to know Iβd be bound forever with someone I love.
After my news was told, my heart turned to gold.
Marriage can be as sweet as honey,
but everything sweet last only a short time.
For a candyβs purpose is to be devoured a lick at a time.
Now I look back, remembering how happy I was
To know I was going to be bound forever to someone I loved.
Forever is a long timeβ
And time is something I cannot keep track of.
