We are born in the darkness,

The remnants of fallen stardust,

Darkness is the mother in which we can trust,

That no matter how many tears we shed, we know we will not rust.

Sitting in the shadows our heart ablaze,

Lighting up the nights in endless ways,

Through pain and pleasure we rise with unbelievable grace,

As the hard and soft must both be embraced.

Reflected impossibilities of the light inside the dark,

Sparks igniting hearts that are covered, broken and scarred,

Creating life everywhere in meadows and in graveyards,

Whether awake or asleep we are miracles of star lit hearts.

Throughout the cosmos we are legends created from myth,

No matter what life throws at us we will not bow down or submit,

Even if we are buried under concrete life cannot forbid for,

Wherever there is light, the flowers will always find it!
