“You’re dating… _him_?” I said while my eyes looked at Alexis. My ex-boyfriend. My _first_ love.

“Happy to see you, Vanessa” the way his voice pronunced my name was familiar, too much familiar. My best friend, Beatrice, looked at me and Alexis and asked: “do you already know each other?”.

“Beatrice, can I talk to you _alone_?” she nods and we moved on to my bedroom. “Please, explain me. Do you know Alexis?” I stayed silent and she understood that was a ‘yes’.

“He was my first love, but I left because he was an asshole, he treated me like_ one of the girls _and not the only one.” I said with the fire on me, I was angry everytime I said my experience with him. “He cheated on me too, but not only one time and with only one girl”.

“Oh, Vanessa…” Beatrice hugged me. “I’m so sorry for this, you definitely don’t deserve this”

“It’s ok, but I hope he doesn’t treat you like this, because I will be more furious than now.”

Beatrice laughed but she turned serious very fast. “Thanks for worrying about me, but I’ll be fine, I promise you” and we hugged for eternity minutes. I used to hate Alexis, but Beatrice was my best friend and if she was happy with him, I would be happy for both of them, specially for her.
