I send, not recieve

I hide, not leave

I text behind what is somehow normalized

Social media has people hypnotized

Not knowing who’s behind the screen

The thought makes some at unease

For me, fake is all over

From pics, to gender, to having a Range Rover

All they can do is obsess

Over what they’ve thought they’ve possesed

But at the end

I always pretend

I would always get all the information

And leave you with no hints of my creation

I know you

You don’t know me, isn’t that true?

It’s a shame, nobody has the intelligence to find me

To know who it might be

A creep or a polite handsome man

Or a woman

You will never know

No matter how far you go

My age, gender, or my background

The mystery is left underground
