Tainted lips and awry hearts,

Shunned, told they have fell apart,

Tried to change them from the start,

To regain their potential.

Stern teachings and blasphemy,

Trying to set their souls free,

Blind that they are unhappy—

At least they’ll turn somewhat pure.

Unjust shame and briny tears,

Forced into it all in fear,

Wish for their selves to appear,

A window, not a mirror.

Tainted lips and awry hearts,

Molded when they fell apart,

Wasted potential to be,

The beautiful souls locked out.
