Looking back I see The baby she was, so innocent The teenager so lost and hurt The young adult unsure of what was next I knew every secret kept I heard every word uttered in her mind I felt every single bit of pain She was all of those people at one time Now she’s in her mid twenties With years of knowledge gained And recovery and Jesus healed her But she reflects on what was When reminding herself what is right now And that is contentment
