POEM STARTER
A Thundering Whisper.
Write a poem that could use this title.
A Thunderous Whisper
The world slows when it rains
It slows down moment
While the rest of the world spins
Maybe I’m insane
But the rain begs for romance
Dramatic love confessions
And the screen blacking out
With a love that’s come to fruition
The rain pours softly
To those who sit alone
On a bench, with an umbrella
Wishing instead that it was the first snow
Snow is magic
In small whit tufts
And while the outside chills,
The winter wonderland
Brings in love
And so snow begs for romance too
It’s simply set in front of the hearth
Hot chocolate warming the air
As best friends hold each other
in their arms
And slowly snow melts into spring
And flowers start to bloom again
The people, once alone
Find reason to celebrate their own
They find themselves
In vacation and flowers
Late night adventures, reckless and passionate
In the small silence
A woman starts to love herself again
And as spring bleeds into summer
Children bleed out of schools
And families move in and out, though boxes
The promise of a new horizon
And the world suddenly starts to look
Like a gift, a prize
And full of love
And so love finds itself
In every part of life
Just like a will-o-the-whisp
Or a thunderous whisper
