“You can see the world from up here.” Reeve muttered, dangling his legs off the edge of the cliff.

Ember turned her head to look at him, smiled, then rested her head on his shoulder. She didn’t speak, there were no words needed. Just the simple twittering of birds, the rustle of the trees behind them and their steady breathing. Below was the city of Acamar, buildings lining the valley, their windows glistening in the sun; the waterfalls fell down the cliffs, landing in a beautiful pool of white, the continuing as a stream between the streets; and the people, all dressed in colourful garments, happily strolling along with no care in the world.

“Thank you for showing me this place.” Ember said, shifting a bit closer, “I won’t forget it.”

Reeve slid an arm around her waist and pulled her against his side, “I should hope not.” He teased, giving her a small squeeze.

Chuckling, she gazed at him, “You’re insufferable.”

“You love it.”

Ember didn’t deny it, only sighed and shook her head. He ruffled her hair, she allowed it.

It was a simple moment a piece. Them two together, cuddled up, having a quiet moment together. All with a beautiful view.
