_I remember. I remember. How it happened. I remember. _
_I remember the joy on her face. She had been picked. She went home with the Simon’s. They were nice. Kind. Spoke to every kid. Then they found Claire. She was perfect to them._
_I didn’t want her to go. I wanted her to stay with me. They promised me, _**_promised_**_, that they would invite me over. That I could see her when ever I wanted. I believed them, _**_believed.
_**_I waited. I called her. We talked. They said I could visit next week. I called again, the call was shorted this time. They said I could come that week, but next week. Again and again. Till one day they didn’t answer. _
_That day I was pulled into a room. They asked me if I was friend with Claire. I said yes. They asked me if I had heard about death before. I said yes. They asked me if I knew what happened to Claire. I said no. _
_They said to me, “Claire has been found dead in the Simon’s home.” I cried, I asked how. They said they couldn’t tell me. _
_Then they walked me out of the room with a broken heart. _
