You
When I start to write a poem or a letter
I think of you and smile and feel better
As the rain falls and the dry lawn gets wetter
My inner thoughts are always about you
When the winter winds bring cold snow
It’s is the warmth that you bring I know
Your kind and loving arms is where I go
My inner thoughts are always about you
When the day is over and the stars appear
Your warm hand is holding mine really dear
Making me feel safe and secure with you near
My inner thoughts are always about you
