POEM STARTER

Submitted by Robin Marlowe

Write a poem about unseasonable weather. e.g. A warm day in the winter, or snow in the summer.

Eggs

This strange weather situation, happened years before

It was Easter Sunday, after mass, I was just about four

We were all waiting, in the cars for the bell to ring

The firemen hid all the eggs, in the woods we sing

Quickly as we lined up, to do the fast find the egg run

We didn’t expect the snow, to come taking away the sun

We scrambled back to the cars, hunt cancelled for the day

We did eat our cold ice cream cup, and went home to play
