POEM STARTER
Human souls are part of a pattern too large to see in each individual. Together, we form something greater than we can imagine.
Write a poem based on this idea. It can be loosely related, but should focus on the theme of individuals vs. togetherness.

Create. Recreate. Procreate. Repeat.
Die! Die! Die!
Down, deep, dark. Dreaming.
High, heavenly - hark! Screaming!
Day becomes night becomes day. All right?
Reach for the sky! Settle for the remote.
Control. Fear. Faith! Plan. Hope. Float!
Temporary life passing by. Desire. Needing. Lust!
Buy! Buy! Buy!
As I jump across this game board of life, zigging.
You go on, passing by - waiving Hi! Zagging!
Tick, talk, click, walk - trip, fall, pass the ball!
My patch on this fabric of time stitches,
Onto your patch - our invisible quilt - borne of wills and wishes.
We striv just as we survive for each other.
Just to be alive, to be sister and brother -
Is a veritable sift - we rise with each others lift - as we try and trip the rift - if you get my drift…
Isn’t this stitch we share in time really just a gift?
