Route 88
Driving down the Interstate
In Life I have always been Late
Fingers Crossed, wishing on the number 8
I don’t know where I should go.
Watching everyone succeed
My heart left in this gut wrenching greed.
I can’t catch up to their speed.
Everything for me has felt so slow.
When will it be my time?
To reach the top of my Climb?
To hear a joyous chime.
That I will be saved from this overflow.
My Route is Unknown.
And for now I have to cross it alone.
Trusting the direction I’ll be blown.
In due time I will know.
