“Come on!” I wispher yell over my shoulder. Leah climbs up the rest of the hill and reaches me.

“How-“ a wheez “do you do that so fast!?” She grabs my shoulder for balance.

“I’ve been doing this a lot longer then you have.” I say as I walk toward the barn. “Why’d you take this mission if you weren’t going to follow the plan?”

“What do you mean?” She asks as she catches up to me.

“The plan was get to the barn stealthy and _fast._”

“Hey!” She slaps my back. “I’m not that slow!”

“Sureee.” I pull out the word.

*Crack*

I hear in the distance. “Quiet.” I whisper.

Leah nods her head and pulls her gun. I tiptoe over to the barn entrance and open the doors. They creak but not loud enough to alert the people near.

I step in along with Leah. I scan the barn.

_Nothing._

I hear another crack from the corner of the barn that’s being covered by the door. I shut the door and pull my gun.

In one quick motion my gun is knocked from my hand and I’m on the ground.

“Leah!” I rasp out. “What are you doing!?”

“Sorry,” she smiles.

Eight people walk toward us, and that was the moment I realized it wasn’t ever the plan for me to make it out alive.
