The Fire
Your words are a match to me
I am ignited and suddenly
I’m aflame
And I’m
Yelling
Screaming
And its all for you
You don’t respond
Wait patiently
Looking sad
It just makes me yell louder
The flame is growing
Spreading into a fire
That can’t be contained
I know it’s eratic of me
That you didn’t deserve it
You shouldn’t suffer from the fire
And a small part of me feels ashamed
Then I think of your arm around her
And not me
Even though you told me goodbye
Months ago
And I let you burn
