As I lay crying in my bed,

I just remember everything that I said.

How could I be so rude to my own mom?

The words that came out of my mouth couldn’t have been more wrong.

I fall asleep to sadness and anger,

Not stable anymore like an anchor.

My “nightmare” is making me experience the pain

So empathy is what I will gain.

I have my awakening in two ways:

Actually waking up the next day,

And my awakening of realizing how rude I was.

I hope she’ll forgive me…
