The only one I ever prayed with

God took us apart

But not a day goes by I don’t miss the sight of your smile

And now memories collect like dust in a pile

How do I love without your embrace?

How do I believe without your faith?

You were the one that was never supposed to hurt me

But you did -- too sour a love to call bittersweet

How am I supposed to trust after what you did to us?

You were a part of me and now loneliness fills every place you left and decays

You left a ragged hole where your heart used to stay

A wound no amount of butterflies can close

So the blood seeps through the bandage to show

A deep maroon of love and fate

Of the story that was destined for hate

You stabbed me in an embrace

You shot me in the face

Without you where do I go?
