Kind and Witty
I went biking on a lake today and saw a lot of people fishing. It inspired me to write a country song (which happens to be one of my favorite genre of music).
Daddy I met a boy
A boy I think you’ll like
A boy who makes me smile
A boy who is a gentleman
But daddy I must warn you
He is not a cowboy
He doesn’t drive a truck
He didn’t grow up in a small town
And he’s never driven
down a dirt road
But Daddy he’s kind and witty
Daddy, he’s kind and witty
Daddy this boy I met
This boy is good to his mama
This boy is good to strangers
This boy is good with babies
And daddy you should know
He doesn’t read the Bible
He doesn’t go to church
He doesn’t pray to any god
He doesn’t kill animals for sport
But daddy he’s kind and witty
Daddy, he’s kind and witty
So I hope you’ll love him too
Like I’ve grown to love him
Cos he may not have grown up
The way you raised me
But daddy he’s a good man
And you raised me to choose right
He is not a cowboy
He doesn’t drive a truck
He didn’t grow up in a small town
And he’s never driven
down a dirt road
But Daddy he’s kind and witty
Daddy, he’s kind and witty
Daddy he’s kind and witty
And he’s perfect for me
Daddy, he’s kind and witty
And he’ll make the perfect daddy for my kids
