"Did you hear me?"

I ask again.

As my voice subsides.

"Yes, sure. Now go on."

The silence that grows,

Day by day.

They wonder why i'm so quiet,

They ask why I keep to myself.

Yet they don't bother to listen.

Then I mutter.

Words are wasted on those who do not listen.
