POEM STARTER
Belonging
Write a poem about what 'Belonging' means to you.
I'm calm
I got your back
You got mine
And overtime I can come to you when times get Muddy
You confide in me and sometimes I can borrow some money
We see each other and what we've gone through
We don't judge each other because we don't want to
I trust you and you trust me
Not blood related yet still a family
Giving with no expectations
Take what you need after all I'm your friend
When I walk into the room I don't have to assume that I have to fit in
You save the seat that I sit in
And I'm calm
Trust you with my time because I know you cherish mine
Know my favorite foods and know I don't drink milk
and to you that's fine.
Don't judge me on how polite I eat
Instead you find it neat
Compliment each other because we care
Notice what I've done with my hair
And I'm still calm
I don't feel on edge
Nothing to prove
Already on my side
In No room do I have to hide
Because I got your back
And you got mine
So when I turn around
Or am in a vulnerable place
I'm calm.
