Reliving
The spell broke and suddenly she could see with fresh eyes. The clouds were no longer gloomy, but white, catching light. They looked puffed up—less gummy and soaked up like a sponge than she remembered. She could finally feel the sun kiss her eyes and the wind breathe on her skin. The hair on her arms no longer stood up, fear was no longer an afterthought. Tranqulity flowed over her effortlessly.
She had forgotten what it felt like to breathe, no longer just hoping for survival. Now her breath felt like life. Clean and clear of pollution.
Her knees buckled at the feeling of freedom. She fell to the ground and the feeling of grass touching her skin suprized her. It was so soft, no longer like shards on her legs.
She layed down, brushing her arms across the green blanket. Her laugh felt uncomplicated. She used to hate her laugh, but now it was no longer annoying. She had barely laughed in the past feeling like there was nothing to be joyful about. But now… now she could not stop smiling, giggling and taking in the fresh air.
For most people, this is their norm, they think nothing of it. But she had been trapped under this depressive spell for years, so long she forgot what it felt like to be alive.
She had been reborn.
