I pick up the colouring paper of a rainbow that is very badly coloured in. "Oh it is just absolutely gorgeous, Leah!"

My niece smiles proudly.

"From the colours to the way the lines are loose but intentional—This deserves to be in an art gallery."

I walk over to the fridge and stick it on with a magnet along with all the other drawings and pictures this family has. I think we might need a new fridge because we’re running out of space.

"There," I nod firmly at it and smile at Leah who’s looking at her drawing on the fridge as if it’s a Harvard degree.

Kids are adorable.
