My dog,

Happy as one can be,

Lives with me.

He is never doubtful,

Always bashful,

And comes to me for treats.

We lay every night,

On the couch with tv,

Glimmering is he.

My golden retriever,

Glimmers,

Smiles,

Plays,

And won’t get in your way.

If he were a human,

He would be a track star.

Always running,

Always tired.

He would eat, sleep, and do it
