The purple-haired woman startled when Mira and Zoey suddenly blocked her path on the way to the bathroom. "...Yes?"

"We need to talk," Mira put her hands on Rumi's shoulders and spun her around to march her back to her bedroom.

Zoey and Mira sit Rumi down on her bed, but remain silent. Rumi nervously glances from side to side nervously at the looks they were giving her. A minute later, Jinu joined them through the glass door to the balcony.

"Why'd you do it?" Mira demanded.

"Do... what?" Rumi asked.

"Celine told us you wanted her to kill you," Zoey whispered.

Rumi's mouth formed an 'o'.

Mira folded her arms across her chest. "Why?"

"I wasn't thinking straight. I..." Rumi sighed. "I just wasn't thinking. I'm sorry."

Zoey sat on the bed beside her best friend. "You know we're here for you, Rumi. We'll always be there to pull you back to safety if you're drowning."

The Huntr/x leader smiled sadly. "It didn't feel like it in that moment."

Mira sat on her other side. Jinu got closer, gently taking one of Rumi's hands in his. Rumi held her breath as he pressed a feather-light kiss to the back of her palm.

"There's not a second we won't be here for you," he swore.
