The Burden of Memory
Write a poem that could have this as its title.
The Burden of Memory
If only memory could be sent from brain to brain
You wouldn’t be able to twist your words for your gain
I would be able to argue back without any doubt
But instead, you sow that seed and use it to put me down
If only memory wasn’t faulty and got lost in my head
I hate only remembering the bad when I’m sad
While the good memories hide away everyday
It feels like looking through a library blindly
How can I remember every mistake as clear as day?
Yet anything with my success is hidden behind storm clouds
I wish I could keep my thought organized in my head
A search function that properly worked would be the best
Do others deal with these issues that I do too?
They don’t seem like they struggle as much as I do
