The three remained glued to their positions. None of them spoke. Hunter’s legs still felt like jelly.

“What... just happened? Liam stared hard at the door.

“What did you do?” Natt asked.

The two turned their heads at him in unison. Hunter looked down at his World’s Okayest Psychic and back at them.

“I– What?” He stuttered, “What did I do? What did you do? He just– He just left.” He threw his open palms towards the door.

“I didn’t do anything,” Natt argued. “Bet your psychic powers have something to do with it.”

Liam pinched his nose and let out a sigh.

“You were planning on killing him!” Hunter reached an opera’s decibel pitch.

“YOU SAW THROUGH MY HEAD!”

“I can’t control it!”

“Lies!”

“IT’S NOT MY FAULT YOU THINK SO LOU–”

“Cut it out, you two!” Liam stood between them like a tired dad. His round gold-rimmed glasses made him look halfway there. Minus the gold rim.

“Okay, lemme get this straight. The Vamp-guy is gone. You’re staying here. That’s the end of it. Right?”

“Right.” The two said in unison.

“That settles it then.” Liam walking towards the couch, “Next time let’s try not to eavesdrop... or commit murder.”

“I need a nap.” Hunter groaned.
