POEM STARTER
You are out walking when you see a person sitting alone on a bench under a Willow tree, crying. Write a poem about them.
This could be written as though you are observing the person but not interacting, or as though you have approached the person and offered to help.
Willow Man
The Willow leaves drop as tears fall from his eyes
Dropping on his head as he cries
Pure emotion so raw and beautiful
Why do you come here and feel so sad?
Was it a hard day did it go bad?
His cries were as loud as a lions roar
Half the block could hear him as if it was a snore
People watch wonder and wonder what made him so sore
As I watch in opposite of complete bore
I want to come by see what is the issue
Maybe even pat your back or offer you a tissue
Now now these days come and go
Like how you heal after you stub your toe
Willow man just know
It is okay to be sad
Even put it on show
Never ruminate in these feelings
As they will fade
I wish you luck love and a beautiful day
