As I see this lantern going by

Floating on the water so peacefully

I just can’t help but think

How the light wanders

Where it goes

Where he goes with the light

I just close my eyes

Imagining where he goes with the light

His body made of light

Going with the lanterns

Glimmering above

Going somewhere far away

But then I start to imagine

Him coming back to me

Holding my hands

Taking me to where the light wanders

I get taken off to the night sky

Going above the lanterns

Going with the other bodies of light

To where the light goes

The bodies of light brighten the sky

As they go above the lanterns

Going on a path

A path to where the light goes

I see trees

I see mountains

I see clouds

I see shimmering bodies of light passing by

While being up in the sky

Being held by him

Feeling the magic of the night

The magic of the light

He looked at me

Went above the other bodies of light

Getting off the path

Going up to the cloudy sky

He put us both down

On some cloud

We started to dance

He twirled me around

We were dancing

As if we were younger

Still together

Still being alive and in love

Our favorite music was playing

As we danced

I felt so happy

Being in his sparkly arms

Making me dance

Making me move

Making me feel so close again

Making me feel so loved again

Then I open up my eyes

See just the lanterns going

Floating and spreading out

Disappointed being back in reality

But also curious

Seeing where the lanterns end up

Seeing where the light goes

Seeing where the light wanders

I look away from the lanterns

Going back to my home

I stopped when I heard a bit of twinkling

I turned around

Shocked to see nothing

But I definitely heard something

So as I turned around

I still kept wondering where the light wanders
