Patient #3

**Examination of Post-hospitalization**

_Psych Me Up Sanitorium evaluation team_

Interview led by licensed social worker, Hellen Achel of New Castle, Delaware

**Date:** 05/10/1967

**Patient name:** "Rhyming" Ronald Bald

**DOB:** 11/03/1938

**Initial diagnosis:** Compulsory rhyming due to head trauma, resulting in severe social and general anxiety disorders.

**Post-hospitalization plan:** Interval interviews with social workers to measure progress and integration back into society, steady dosage of anxiety medication.

**Helen: **Thank you, Ronald, for taking the time to interview with me today.

**Ronald: **It's not a problem, I have been looking forward to this anyway.

**H: **How has your life improved since the hospital departure?

**R: **I think so, people have stopped looking at me like some kind of creature.

**H: **That's good to hear.

**R:** I think so, too. I have stopped living in fear.

**H:** Well, there was no reason for you to fear in the first place. Your arrival at Psych Me Up was only temporary, as the staff had to reassure that the rhyming was the only factor that came of your injury.

**R:** It still baffles me, like a mystery.

**Interview notes:** Patient remains calm, no signs of anxiety. Will initiate the test requested by Dr. Dikus.

**H:** Injuries happen, and sometimes our brain copes with it by rewiring itself.

**R:** For so long, I felt like my life was put on a shelf.

**H:** Glad to hear you're coping and readjusting to society. Do you miss anybody at the hospital? How about the lunches?

**R:** The lunches were the worst part, since we ate in all bunches.

**H:** What was your favorite snack?

**R:** I liked the pudding packs.

**H:** It wasn't the oranges?

**Interview notes:** Patient became agitated with the use of the word oranges.

**Ending notes:** The patient began hissing and proceeded to throw a chair at the interviewer after the use of the word 'oranges'. Test failed. Another stay at the hospital is scheduled for Mr. Bald.
