STORY STARTER
A character with newly-acquired superpowers moves away from their tiny hometown to put their crime-fighting skills to better use. Turns out, the biggest challenge is fitting into city life.
Write a story using this unusual character/scenario combination.
Lockwood and Co.
The door creaked open and inside stood a family, looked as nervous and scared as usual.
They let us in and put the kettle on. We headed upstairs.
The floorboards creaked but under the weight of our duffel bags, as excepted since they were filled with iron chains.
We began to make a circle out of the iron chains and put in it a lantern on the lowest setting. Oh, and of course a skull in a jar.
Midnight came. It got colder. I could hear them. He could see them.
We swung our rapiers about, slicing the Visitors in half. Easy Type Ones.
We found then Source, a finger bone, of course. We sealed it up and suddenly it was warm again and the sounds stopped.
We came into the kitchen for some tea.
