STORY STARTER

‘As I heard the cry of the last wolf, I knew it was over…’
Continue the story...
A tired dog
I bare my sharp teeth as I lay, nearly lifeless as the last of the wolves run from their smaller, quicker, young relative. The coyote.
I howl out, "Oh how could you do this brother of mine" But no howl back.
I lay. A rabbit teases me, hopping by, as my vision fades.
Blood seeps out. Other coyotes pass.
Vultures start to pick at the lifeless body. The crows watch. And the rivers run.
The sun sets.
And the world has continued.
