I don't think I ve ever been happy.

Everyone says they have. They could give me an example, too.

But I can't remember the last time I felt happy.

I don't know what friendship is. What's the true definition of a friend? Is it some you like, so one you've known forever? Someone who you trust? I don't know. I can't feel friendship if no one makes it happen

I know what a smile feels like, though. I can recognize the way the corners of my lips rise a bit. I recognize the little beating in my chest when I think something might work out.

A smile disappears quickly, but it's still there.
