Galda’s plait hung heavy along her spine as she sat gazing at the other worlds from her favourite spot. The cobbled wall that she felt so safe on, was made that way by her best friend Teenie. Teenie is a cat. His dark fur glittered in the moonlight as his dinner plate eyes looked out in the same direction as hers. The same thought passed through her mind, as it always does, as she gazed out towards the planets. “Who lives there?” This was something that Galda never considered would be answered, but she would soon find out that tonight, her question would have an answer.

As she began to stand up from the wall, something caught her eye as it rushed past, the blast of air from it forcing her back down to her seat. She looked at Teenie, his wide eyes were looking right past her. She felt a presence moving closer and closer, as Teenie’s eyes got wider and wider. Dare she turn around and face whatever was behind her? Her fingers gripped the stones beneath her as she slowly began to turn her head toward the presence behind her. Her heart was like a drum, beating hard against her ribs. As Galda flicked her head around, her plait followed, swinging around heavily and speeding up her turn.

There, in front of her, was a tall and beautiful woman. Her skin almost translucent beneath the golden glow that emanated from her whole body. Her hair, long and blonde, was draped over her shoulders and her bright yellow eyes looked deeply into Galda’s soul. She had never seen anyone like this before. Who was she? As Galda began to ask the woman the question, she reached out a gentle hand and Galda knew she was supposed to take it. Any fear she’d had before was gone, as she placed her hand on top of the golden woman’s cool palm and allowed her long fingers to wrap around her hand. She closed her eyes, instantly feeling a sense of calm, and took a long deep breath.
