_|_**_I do not own any of these characters! _**_This is also a MHA fanfic because I love MHA and Izuku angst. This is also not cannon at all, it’s called a fan_**_fiction_**_ for a reason. Sry for the All might bashing!|_

“If only they world had showed me a little more mercy, maybe I wouldn’t be here on this edge! Maybe if I had a quirk it wouldn’t be like this,” Izuku let a tear fall as he sighed.

Izuku had finally realized, no, accepted that Bakugo wasn’t going to change. Bakugo had been awfully harsh on him earlier that day, forcing Izuku to let go of their friendship, if you could even call it that at this point.

All Might had also been harsh. I mean, he literally crushed a kid’s dreams because his quirkist ass couldn’t stand the idea of a quirkless kid becoming a better hero than he was. Then, he left that kid alone on a rooftop! Not to mention the fact that, as a pro hero—the number one pro hero at that— he should know the statistics of how many quirkless people are bullied or how many don’t even live to adulthood! He should know the statistics of how many quirkless people jump! But, of course he decided to be ignorant and quirkist.

Now, poor little Izuku sits on the edge of the ledge. He decides to text his mom he’s sorry and nothing was her fault, he knew she tried her best as a mother. He leaned forward to look out onto the view. He heard the rustling of the city and saw lights slowly turn off as it got closer to the night. He didn’t realize how fast time had passed, but _it didn’t matter. _

Soon, it was dark out and quite. Only thing that could be heard was the late night fights between vigilantes, villains, and underground heroes. And even those fights were pretty quite.

Izuku still sat on the edge, too scared to fall but not willing to leave the roof. He stared at his red shoes, which were falling apart because they were so worn. They were the only shoes he could wear anyways. They were made to _mark_ people _like him. _

Suddenly, Izuku heard a conversation which he could only assume was between a villain and a hero.

“HAH! Eraser, Eraser, Eraser, just give up already! You already know you’ll never win! You should be grateful, you’ll get to see your old friend, Oboro probably misses you!” the villain yelled.

“KEEP HIS NAME OUT OF YOUR GOD DAMN MOUTH YOU FUCKING IMBECILE!” a hero yelled.

Wait… “Eraser” as in the Eraser Head?!?! That did sound a lot like the Eraser Head Izuku heard in the (very few) videos he found of him. Izuku was paralyzed, his favorite hero was just a few stories down! A hero who fought quirkless was so close… but so far. And Eraser Head still had a quirk, Izuku was being stupid thinking he might be able to be a hero. It was a dumb dream.

After a few minutes of silence Izuku hear Eraser Head call the police to come and arrest the villain.

“Yeah, I got him tied up and everything. All I need is someone to pick him up,” Eraser explained. “How far out are you?”

“Only 5 minutes? Isn’t the closest station like 12 minutes away?” Eraser asked. “There was another vigilante? Wow, that’s like the third one this month.”

After a few minutes, Izuku heard a police car. The villain was taken care of and Eraser Head continued on his patrol route.

What Izuku didn’t expect was for Eraser Head’s patrol to cross the building he was on. So he was definitely shocked when he heard Eraser ask if he was okay.

“Hey, kid, you okay?” Eraser asked calmly.

“Y-yeah,” Izuku’s voice cracked as he stuttered.

“Kid… why? Why are you out this late?” Eraser approached.

“I-I was just, umm…” Izuku didn’t know what to say. “You’re Eraser Head right?”

“Wow kid, you’re smart. Not many people know who I am,” Eraser sat next to Izuku.

“I like analyzing heroes. You were hard to find information on because you’re an underground hero, but I found a few short videos of you. The quality was really bad though, I could barely see you,” Izuku explained.

“That’s very interesting. But, again, why are you out this late. Aren’t your parents worried?” Eraser got back to his point.

“My mom probably is,” Izuku thought of how his mom might react to the message he sent hours ago.

“What about your dad?” Eraser prayed it wasn’t a sensitive subject that he was poking at.

“He left once I turned four,” Izuku said.

“Oh, kid, I’m so sorry,” Eraser couldn’t help but think that this was just his luck that he happened to poke at a very-sensitive-seeming topic.

“I don’t really care, Ibarely remember him anyway,” Izuku said, but traitorous tears dared to spill.

“It’s okay to cry, you know that, right?” Eraser tried so hard to resist hugging this kid right now, but he didn’t know if the kid was comfortable with hugs.

“I’m sorry!” Izuku couldn’t hold his tears back anymore. He leaned into Eraser and held onto his capture scarf.

“Hey, kid, it’s okay. Can I hug you?” Eraser asked.

Izuku couldn’t verbally respond, his voice was taking and replaced with sobs. Instead, he nodded.

“It’s okay, you’re safe,” Eraser comforted as he rubbed the kid’s back.

Eventually, the kid fell asleep in Eraser’s arms.

“Where am I?!?!” Izuku yelled as he woke up.

“Wow, calm down little listener?” someone—WAS THAT PRESENT MIC—spoke.

“PRESENT MIC?” Izuku, in fact, did not calm down.

“Yeah! I’m Present Mic, but you can call me Hizashi!” he replied smiling.

“Where am I?” Izuku still didn’t know where he was.

“Don’t tell me you didn’t tell him when he is yet,” Eraser sighed.

“I was just about to!” Hizashi defended.

“Well, kid, you are in me and Hizashi’s house,” Eraser told Izuku.

“Why am I in your house?” Izuku couldn’t help but ask.

“You fell asleep on me last night when you were crying,” Eraser explained.

“Oh…” Izuku remembered what had happened last night.

“Shota, what time is it?” Hizashi asked.

“Eight thirty-two,” Eraser, aka Shota, replied.

“I should go make breakfast,” Hizashi left and went to the kitchen.

“So, kid, you gonna tell me what happened yesterday? It’s okay if you don’t want to,” Shota said.

“My friend, well, he’s not really my friend anymore, told me if I wanted a quirk I should take a swan dive of the roof of a building and pray for a quirk in my next life. Then, the Sludge Villain guy attacked me. All Might saved me, but he also said quirkless people like me couldn’t be a hero. And he left me… on that rooftop you found me on…” Izuku felt better after getting that off of his chest.

“ALL MIGHT SAID WHAT? YOU WERE ATTACKED BY WHO?” Shota was pissed, he fought quirkless god damn it!

“He said I can’t be a hero without a quirk. I was attacked by that Sludge Villain,” Izuku coughed as he remembered how the slime felt in his throat.

“I’m going to fucking kill All Might,” Shota sighed frustratedly. “1) You can be a hero, with quirk or not. You just need to put effort in. Hell, I fight practically quirkless. 2) After this I’m taking you to get checked out, I’m assuming you didn’t after getting attacked.”

“I can?” Izuku seemed shocked.

“Yes, you can,” Shota said.

“OH! I never introduced myself! I’m Izuku!” Izuku spoke.

“…” Shota said nothing.

“Did I just ruin the moment?” Izuku laughed.

“Yes, yes you did kid,” Shota smiled.
