POEM STARTER

‘I sometimes forget how easy it was to say hello to a stranger.’

Write a poem that ends with this line.

Life Changer

I miss the way things used to be

When I could laugh and sing and life made me feel free.

Stars used to shine so bright.

I never used to fear the night.

But time goes by and your mind stalls.

They’ll say your wires crossed and this will be your downfall.

Just put your faith in the little blue pill.

And now it will all feel tranquil.

I wonder if my life is fake.

Those feelings shouldn’t have to be so hard to replicate.

Still, I rely on the life changer.

I sometimes forget how easy it was to say hello to a stranger.
