POEM STARTER
Confession.
Write a poem, with a set structure, which centres around the theme of confession.
All or nothing
Loved you a little less is not the truth
Loved you since youth
Loved you because you care
Flourishing like flowers as I comb through my hair
Deep down these feelings bubble up to the surface
The look in your eyes makes me feel nervous
So maybe I do like you
Or maybe I love you a lot
Often I get lost in the thought
The idea that I found love
Maybe I'm too young
A little naive
Sure
That's what the world wants me to believe
Get lost in the thought
It's just a little fun
But what if Im just satisfied with one
In a world where you either have it all or don't need anyone
Be by myself sure I can do it
Be the life of the party
I lived through it
But maybe I don't want it all
Maybe I don't want none at all
Maybe I want the one that will love me
Protect and hold me
They call it hopeless romantic
But I don't think loving romance makes you hopeless
I think it makes you hopeful
Everyday is cherished and full
Full of love and care
So I confess that I just want one
We'll have all the fun
But I wont just settle for anyone
But when I find the one
Were gonna have so much fun
