POEM STARTER
Submitted by Cheyenne King
Describe a moment in life which seems to last forever.
You could write this as a poem or story, or as a descriptive paragraph.
Win Or Loose Journey
Excitement, nervousness, fear, dread
Awaiting the moment to receive the card filled with funds
Running to the shinest prize, drawing the handle down and ring ring ring is it a win is it a loss?
A 20$ bet going to the black jack table trying out something new to make up for the last round
Two minutes pass, three minutes and placing the bets awaiting a hit or stand and boom! 35$ win!
Playing longer should I cash out should I wait and see if my luck still holds?
Taking a risk folding out from the play and drumroll a 50 50 chance either I win either I lose. Lose it all or win more. Placing all my bets on what I have or playing it safe?
Hours pass, runs to the cash out and getting a free drink. Until I have no more money to play until I used everything from the card. Should I take out more cash? Should I go home? Am I satisfied?should I go back to the machines? Can I win more?
An endless journey with endless thoughts until my final moment determines my fate and the game is won or it’s lost. A feeling of seeing my character. Did I make the right choice? If I rewind time would I have won more if I did it differently? Did I play at the wrong machine? Feeling of doubt like it goes on forever in my mind, until I return back and play again next time and the cycle starts all over again. A feeling like it goes on forever in my mind until I go to another machine and that thought is gone in a moment. In a moment I can win so much or I can lose all I have. It’s a dangerous risk I’m willing to take. Like a similarity to life since life is like this game. We either jump at the chance when we get lucky and then risk all we have and the chance becomes worth it or we play it safe and loose out on the moment and then we end up regretted it. A 50 50 chance. In a moment it doesn’t last forever but it can surely feel like it does or did.
