My heart was pounding in my chest, making sure I didn’t miss a single thing.

Making sure I find every corner, tripping along the way.

I ran and ran, tripped up the stairs but…I made it!

Eventually the sink was running when I arrived in the kitchen, the water turning soapy at a quick pace.

Next thing I knew, the floors were wet yet squeaky clean.

Then….

The door bell rang.

Thank god I finished all the cleaning before my parents arrived.
