VISUAL PROMPT
Prompt submitted by Tenshi

Write a poem about what streetlights make you think of.
An Illuminating Path
When the streetlights come on
I think of denouement
How the old chapter is done
And how the new chapter has begun
As I look back on all the life before me
I stare at the lights that I am grateful to see
And as the road lays beneath me
The streetlights come on…one by one
The night is as black as Snow White’s hair
The air, it seems, has always been fair
And as the glare from each vehicle begins to intensify, it seems the world has also become much more doctrinaire
I might be overthinking of these beautiful lights
But if the night is dull and dark
I want to at least have some more of
These bright lights
