I stand in the grocery store

Look at the scrap of paper

Read what the words I previously wrote

Pizza

Ice cream

Lettuce

Tomatoes

The list goes on

It’s balanced

Fun

It reflects my life

The next week

I’m back

The list this time is shorter

There isn’t as much fun reflected

It’s only vegetables

The next week I look at the list again

The words are blurry and I can’t make them out

I can tell the list is short though

Bare

I feel faint but I know that if I follow the list I will be happy

I grab a singular tomatoe and walk out of the store
