POEM STARTER
Write a poem that is grotesquely romantic.
This could mean a poem that’s overly lovey-dovey, one that has a romantic theme but grotesque imagery, or something else altogether.
Forever
My teeth clawed into the seeps of his pale skin,
Saliva all over his thin chin.
Groans
Pantings
Whispers.
Time had stopped
I was consumed by his taste
And his soft breaths raced.
I was in love once, Yes once.
And I had cut into his heart.
We would tease and blush,
we'd watch movies and I would try to make him hush.
I yearned to never grow apart, but it was bound to start.
We daydreamed about our future kids,
even if we were the kids,
and we cuddled and laughed in the midst.
I loved once, Yes once.
And I cut up his chest and ate his heart
we are now one,
and he can never depart.
