I lit up first

I was glowing

I saw you reaching for me

But I didn't know if what I was seeing was an illusion

You found her

Glowing brightly

She glew more and more

Because you were reaching for her

After I hid my glow

I turned of.

Silently.

I know the only reason you saw her glow

Was because she was glowing for me

But all just because I hid my glow.

I hid that beautiful light.

And when you knew that I had glown

You thought she wasn't glowing enough any longer

Your gaze met my light

This time I wasn't hiding

But you always went back to hers

In the end shattering both our lights.

So even at night I was in the dark.
