“HELP!”Becca screams as loud as she can from the lowest depths of the dark tunnel. She tries to peek out of her left bruised eye, but gives up when the pain becomes unbearable. Her vision is still fine out of the right but it is so dark she can’t make anything out. She has been trapped for a day and a half and has no clue where she is. She tried to feel around her surroundings only to feel the wet hard ground below her.

“HELP ME PLEASE!”she yells again her voice becoming hoarse. She hears boot steps coming towards her from behind and starts getting nervous. The person in the room stands next to her and inches closer towards her face. With a deep voice she doesn’t recognizes he starts talking to her.

“We have been watching you and after seeing how much he loves you, he should be here any moment.”

The person says manically leaving Becca more confused and terrified. The deep voice and heavy boot steps retreats away as she hears a door slam behind her. Instantly, Becca tries to loosen the binds on her hands so she can try and escape, but they are tied so tight she gives up. As she is sitting there now feeling defeated, she hears a large blaring alarm. Running footsteps and people yelling can be heard from behind her where the door is.

“Shoot him down!”the deep voice that was in the room with her earlier yells from behind the door. As soon as the yelling stops and it gets insanely quiet the door busts down and she suddenly feels hands on her binds. She starts to freak out not knowing who is behind her. “Please don’t hurt me! Get away from me!” she pleads. But the hands don’t stop trying to untie her. Once free she scurries away hoping to get some distance between her and the mystery person not too far from her.

“Becca. I’m not going to hurt you. I just want to get you out of here.” the mystery man says. But why does his voice sound so familiar and why does she feel drawn to someone she cannot see? Slowly creeping towards her the mysterious man with his soothing voice reassures her of his intentions and she finally calms down. “Who are you?” she asks inquisitively. “I’m frozone.”

“The superhero from the news? What are you doing here? How did you know I was even here?” She asks him question after question confused on why a superhero would save someone like her. His icy cold hands touches hers, but for some reason they feel familiar and warms her body. Her head starts to pound with confusion and she realizes she is exhausted and hasn’t slept the whole time she has been taken. Frozone scoops her body up and pulls her close as he walks to the door Becca could never escape to. As he steps outside the door the bright light from the sun envelops everything around her and it takes a moment for her right eye to adjust.

“Bryan?” She looks at her saviour like she has seen a ghost. Why is her fiancé carrying her out of the tunnel she was just held captive in? Was she dreaming? Becca’s mind started racing with so many thoughts and she felt herself losing consciousness.

“I am so sorry. I didn’t think you would ever have to find out this way” he starts to say with desperation in his eyes. She was angry and confused but every thing started to make sense in her head. Why he was always gone and why he would always come back home bruised up and aching.

“Why would you lie to me?” She asks quietly with so much hurt laced in her voice. He squeezes her tighter as he felt her body slipping more and more. “I’ll explain everything once I get you home.”

“I love you so much” he says as Becca’s eyes close and she falls into unconsciousness.
