Write a difficult conversation between two characters without using any dialogue tags.
Dialogue tags describe the speech - 'he whispered', 'she murmered', 'they said' etc. Removing these indicators will encourage you to make the dialogue speak for itself, instead of relying on tags to describe and clarify the intent behind the words.
Lunch
**Characters: **
**Violet: A 116 year old vampire who was adopted by Katherine’s mom and easily calms down Katherine when its needed**
**Katherine: 16 year old girl who was deemed insane by her mom before her mom adopted Violet, now is calmed by Violet**
**Violet**: “Come on, Katherine! I don’t want to be late!”
**Katherine**: “One: its lunch, we won’t be late. And two: you’re a _vampire_! You don’t eat!”
**Violet**: “Shush! No need to broadcast the fact.”
**Katherine**: “Sor-ry.”
**Violet**: “You’re no good st keeping secrets, are you?”
**Katherine**: “Shut up. I’ve kept your stupid secret for over a year!”
**Violet**: “Yeah, since your mom adopted me. But for a while, you were clueless about me.”
**Katherine**: “That’s only because you needed to tell someone.”
**Violet**: “No, it’s because you saw me drain the red color from an apple.”
**Katherine**: “Same thing.”
**Violet: W**hatever** **you** **say, sis. Let’s get lunch, yeah?”
**Katherine**: “Okay, Valerie. Sounds good to me.”
