When things go wrong

Especially as a child

The effects last awhile

I still remember that day

It’s not as clear now

But it will never go away

Dad was upset about somthing

Mom was taking to him

Eventually a police officer arrived

Just one to talk

Dad went away for a little

Mom made us kids talk to people

Therapists or somthing

They came to school

Pulled us out of class individually

Only once or twice

Dad came back soon

But mom was worried

She took care of him

Didn’t have time for me

I understand why now

But it painted a clear picture

When I was little

Dad first than me

My problems come second

That still stays in my mind

Every time I need help

I think of the time I’m using

The care from others

Now she and my brother worry

Always about my other brother or dad

I can’t take there time

And I can’t take there thought

Or there care

So I face the world alone

It’s not there fault

I don’t blame them

Can’t blame them really

How can they help when they don’t know

I can handle my problems
