WRITING OBSTACLE

Write a descriptive scene in which the protagonist must learn an unusual skill in order to stay alive.

Try to describe the skill in detail, using whatever sensory imagery makes sense for the skill. It might help if it's something you know well.

Anxiety

The deafening sound it’s taking over, I won’t fight back. Let it pump the red ocean into my veins, let it fill my lungs with its sticky warmth! Let it beat, it’s a heart, what else would it do?

Fear. Let me fear. Feel. Let me feel.

Breathing faster, slower, shallower, with every written word that I’m not supposed to cling onto.

An hurricane swirling within my body, disrupting the sleepless agony of being alive.

Write. Let me write. Cry. Let me cry.

I’m here, where every poem is, either, a final goodbye, either a raging angry scream. Always in this state of mind, checking, counting, waiting, breaking. Ignore me or kill me, what is the difference?

Like. Love and like. Lied. You lied. Bookmarked lie. Do I lie?

I MUST LEARN HOW TO LIE BETTER. To myself.

Sighs. Who am I? When there is no like.

Who am I in the darkness of my fear?
