The arcade urge, started the first day of the open

I was seven, and tall enough to see it all I’m hoping

The long see through glass, of fun and silver ball

The youngsters could play, table pool down the hall

One single game cost, a dime and you could get three plays

The clowns and jokers, and careful not to make it tilt your ways

So now I am at the teenage years, and quite the pinball pro

This is why I’m here tonight, ready to play and run the show

Tonite the groups, of ‘can I give it a try’ was heard as we played on

Just before midnight, it was time to leave as ‘no power’ said Ron

As we were going, and turning around to look at it once more

The games started flashing, ‘game over’ in red letters galore

We were the first ones out, being close to the way back area before

We got in the car, and drive off not noticing the flippers on the door

Our set of lights on the dash, were changing into a deep color of red

What is this crazy thing happening, are we going crazy or are we dead

The once cool antique horn, from my Pops now screamed’ game over’now

I stopped the pinball machine of a car, and we took off in a field with a cow

It seems that the machines, that we spent time and money to have fun to play

Their metal like plan, is to play us humans and animals their certain crazy way

It has been close, to two coinless years of no arcade or game action in my head

I have stoped playing that certain thing and can’t ever look at the deep color red
